Abstract

The Intaglio prints of outdoor scenes collection consists of two prints created with etching, aquatint, and hand coloring. The first, titled "Vannes 'Au Petit Pot,'" depicts several buildings in Vannes, France in the evening as a person walks beside them carrying a basket. The second, titled "Le Ruitscoud(?) en Hiver," depicts a person in red standing near a river in pale winter light.

Abstract The John F. Kennedy to Frank W. Cuccia letters, 1959-1960 and undated, contain business letters, a holiday card, and an event invitation from John F. Kennedy to Frank W. Cuccia during Kennedy's time as a Massachusetts senator. A typed copy of Kennedy's 1960 presidential candidacy announcement appears to be enclosed with a December 1959 letter. John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, on May 29, 1917 and became the 35th President of the United States on January 20, 1961....

The Kate Greenaway letter and drawing, undated and 1895, contains a letter written by Kate Greenaway to Mrs. Evans and a drawing of a young girl. The letter addresses Greenaway's indecision about a return date because of an unknown male's illness. The drawing is of a young girl holding a rose and is on cardboard backing.

Kit Reed collection

The Kit Reed collection, 1987-1989, contains correspondence between Reed's editor and publisher regarding her 1989 book Revision, as well as galley proofs and an edited manuscript of her 1987 book Catholic Girls. Kit Reed was born Lilian Hyde Craig on June 7, 1932 in San Diego, California. She began writing stories as a child. Reed graduated from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in 1954.

Linelle LaBonte was born in 1937 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She recived an MFA in Photography from MICA in 1971 and served as a professor in the Art Department at Notre Dame Maryland University, teaching until her retirement in 2002. The Linelle LaBonte artwork collection, dated circa 1970-circa 1990, contains photograms, artwork titled Computer Drawings, photographs, artist statements, and an illustrated CV.

Louise Imogen Guiney was born January 7, 1861 in Roxbury, Massachusetts to an Irish-born, Catholic father and American mother. She was raised in the Catholic faith and wrote celebrated poems, essays, and verses inspired by her religious beliefs.
